Inspection Comments |
FACILITY HAS BEEN CLOSED BY THE VILLAGE OF ST ANNE FOR THE FOLLOWING ISSUES:
-HEAVY RODENT PRESENCE. -BROKEN ENTRANCE DOORS. -BROKEN HEATING EQUIPMENT. ADDITIONALLY, OVER THE LAST TWO WEEKS, TWO FREEZERS FAILED AND ALL FOOD INSIDE WAS DISCARDED. DURING THIS INSPECTION, I OBSERVED NO PEST ACTIVITY, INCLUDING RODENT DROPPINGS, OCCUPIED TRAPS, OR DAMAGE TO FOOD PACKAGING. IN FACT, CLEANING HAD OCCURRED IN THE STORAGE ROOM ON AREAS THAT HAD BEEN NOTED ON THE PREVIOUS INSPECTIONS. I ALSO REVIEWED THE RECORDS OF THE PEST CONTROL COMPANY, WHICH IS PERFORMING SERVICES EVERY TWO WEEKS. THERE ARE STILL TWO ISSUES WITH PEST ACCESS TO THE BUILDING: 1)WEATHER STRIPPING AROUND THE FRONT DOOR IS IN POOR CONDITION. 2)ACCORDING TO ALLIE, THE EXTERIOR STOCK ROOM DOORS ARE PROPPED OPEN FOR UP TO 2 HOURS DURING THE WEEKLY PRODUCT DELIVERY. THIS IS MORE THAN ENOUGH TIME TO ALLOW PESTS TO ENTER. DO EVERYTHING POSSIBLE TO REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF TIME EXTERIOR DOORS ARE OPEN, INCLUDING ONLY OPENING WHILE PRODUCTS ARE BEING BROUGHT IN. ONCE THE ESTABLISHMENT IS PERMITTED TO REOPEN BY THE VILLAGE, I WILL REINSPECT FOR THESE SAME ITEMS. |
